you served apologies on a silver platter
but some refuse to taste your sorry's.
your words are on the table, though
and anyone who didn't eat forgiveness
missed dinner.
leftover apologies still remain,
but hurry, dear, they're growing cold.
dinner is over
and the apologies have been traded
for the dessert they promise once you swallow your meal.
you can't enjoy dessert, darling,
until you eat your dinner.
and if you never do,
then no dessert for you.
I love this concept. I love you as a writer. I love how this post is so different from a lot of your others.
